There were three games played at 2.05pm on Sunday

Following Manchester United's 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, three games took place at 2.05pm.

And it was a good day for supporters of Liverpool, Brighton and Aston Villa - who overcame West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Wolves respectively.

The action unfolded ahead of a blockbuster clash between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, with that contest set to kick off at 4.30pm.

GB News now takes a look at how the games played out.

West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

West Ham are currently a club in mourning following the death of club icon Billy Bonds, who has passed away at the age of 79.

Supporters paid tribute to the Hammers icon, while players on both sides stood for a minute's silence.

West Ham performed well in the first-half but were unable to capitalise on any of their chances, much to the dismay of manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Alexander Isak

But Liverpool, who had entered the game under immense pressure, eventually secured victory through Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo.

Isak netted his first league goal for the club, striking from inside the box to boost his confidence, while the hosts saw Lucas Paqueta receive a ludicrous red card late on after first being booked for dissent then continuing to argue with referee Darren England.

Gakpo's goal made the result safe for Liverpool, who still have plenty of work to do if they're to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Nottingham Forest 0-2 Brighton

Forest have been flying ever since the appointment of Sean Dyche.

They had gone into the game hoping to continue their impressive form, having avoided defeat in their last five matches.

Unfortunately for Dyche, however, that didn't happen.

Brighton, who have been creeping up the table this term, won 2-0 following a goals from Maxim De Cuyper and Stefanos Tzimas in either half.

The result fires the Seagulls up to fifth in the table.

Fans will be dreaming of Europe next term as a result.

Aston Villa have certainly bounced back after a slow start to the season.

And they've continued their charge towards Champions League football with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Wolves at Villa Park.

Unai Emery's side were frustrated in the first half, with the visitors able to keep them at bay.

But Villa eventually got their breakthrough in the 67th minute, with Boubacar Kamara scoring after good work from John McGinn.
