Alan Shearer has urged Jack Grealish to leave Manchester City after the £100million winger was left on the bench during their FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The former England captain believes Grealish's "time is up" at the Etihad after manager Pep Guardiola opted to bring on debutant Claudio Echeverri instead of the 29-year-old when City were chasing a goal.
Shearer made the comments on the latest episode of the Rest is Football Podcast. He said: "His time is up at Man City, he has to leave.
"For him (Guardiola) to bring a debutant on, a young boy (Claudio Echeverri) and Gundogan on when they're desperate for a goal rather than Jack Grealish... his time is up, he's done at Man City, he has to leave.

"For whatever reason, Pep's done with him, he doesn't like him, his time is up it really is."
Grealish joined City from Aston Villa in 2021 for a record £100m fee, making him the most expensive English player at the time.
Despite playing a key role in City's Treble-winning campaign of 2022-23, the winger has struggled to maintain his place in Guardiola's plans this season.

The 39-cap England international has started just seven Premier League matches during the current campaign, with only one start coming in 2025. Most of his appearances have been limited to cup competitions when the manager has rotated his squad.
Saturday's FA Cup final defeat highlighted Grealish's diminished status at City as he remained an unused substitute despite his team needing a goal.
Guardiola's decision to introduce 19-year-old Echeverri - who had not even made the bench since joining City in January - was particularly telling.

The manager also brought on Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden ahead of Grealish, suggesting the former Villa star has fallen significantly down the pecking order at the Etihad.
Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards also commented on Grealish's situation, expressing sadness at how his career at the club has unfolded.
"I feel as though Jack's played within himself," Richards said. "If he'd gone there and been losing the ball because he'd tried to take people on, making the wrong pass or whatever... but I don't feel like we've seen the real Jack Grealish."

When Gary Lineker asked if Grealish had played too safely at City, Richards simply replied: "Yeah."
Grealish has managed just four Premier League goals and two assists since the start of last season.
Guardiola has publicly criticised the forward's performances throughout the season. In January, following a 4-1 victory over West Ham, the Spaniard expressed disappointment in the winger's form.

"I want the Jack that won the Treble," Guardiola said. "What happened with Savinho's delivery in the box? It's higher than the other wingers in that position."
The City manager challenged Grealish to fight for his place: "You have to prove, 'I'm going to fight with Savinho, to deserve to play in that position'. And every single day, and every single week and every single month."
