After nine years, Mohamed Salah's Liverpool career is now over.
Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassa has confirmed that the 33-year-old won't be playing at club level again this season, having suffered a hamstring tear during the Reds' 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday.
There is, however, optimism that the veteran will be able to feature at the World Cup in North America this summer.
Salah signed for Liverpool back in the summer of 2017 with a point to prove, having previously toiled under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
Ever since returning to the UK, however, he's silenced his critics by establishing himself as one of the best players in Premier League history.
Salah has won the title twice at Anfield, while he also propelled the Reds to Champions League glory at the expense of Tottenham in 2019.
It is, however, a huge shame that Salah won't be afforded a fairytale farewell. There will be no final works of wizardry on the flanks. His magnificent magic, that has fired Liverpool back into the elite, is now a thing of the past.
GB News will now take a look at other football legends who weren't given the dream send-off.

Jose Mourinho clashed with players such as Iker Casillas during his time at Real Madrid | GETTYIker Casillas’ departure from Real Madrid remains one of football’s most uncomfortable exits.

For a captain who delivered multiple Champions League titles, the absence of a proper Bernabeu send-off felt deeply inadequate.
