Mohamed Salah has been omitted from Liverpool's travelling party for tomorrow's Champions League encounter against Inter Milan at the San Siro, following his extraordinary outburst at the weekend.
The Egyptian forward will remain on Merseyside despite participating in Monday's training session at Kirkby.
The club reached this decision in full consultation with head coach Arne Slot, who has the complete backing of the Liverpool board regarding the matter.
Salah's exclusion comes merely 48 hours after he delivered a remarkable post-match interview following the 3-3 draw at Leeds, in which he alleged he had been "thrown under the bus" by the club.

The 33-year-old winger claimed in his interview that his relationship with Slot had completely broken down, stating he no longer had any connection with the Dutch manager.
Saturday's fixture at Elland Road marked the third consecutive match in which Salah had been named among the substitutes rather than in the starting XI.
He remained an unused substitute throughout the Leeds encounter, prompting his candid remarks to reporters afterwards.
Perhaps most strikingly, Salah suggested that this weekend's Premier League fixture against Brighton at Anfield could potentially represent his final appearance at the famous ground.
Despite the severity of Salah's public comments, Liverpool have confirmed that no formal disciplinary measures will be imposed upon the forward.

The club's view is that a brief spell away from the matchday squad serves the best interests of all parties concerned, given both the nature and timing of the player's remarks.
Sources indicate that Salah appears unlikely to feature in Saturday's Brighton clash either, which would have been his final opportunity to play at Anfield before his departure for international duty.
The Egyptian is scheduled to join his national team next Monday for the Africa Cup of Nations.
