Tottenham winger Manor Solomon finds himself unable to return to England after celebrating his wedding in Israel, as the ongoing conflict with Iran has resulted in blocked flights and closed airspace.
The 25-year-old Israeli international married his partner Dana Voshina on Thursday in his homeland, but the newlyweds now remain stranded as military authorities have shut down the airspace until June 30.
The closure comes as attacks between Israel and Iran continue for a fourth day, following Israel's bombardment of Iran that began on Friday.
Solomon had travelled to Israel after representing his country in their World Cup qualifier victory against Estonia six days before his wedding.

The couple, who have been together since 2018, shared photographs and videos from their wedding celebration, capturing the joyful occasion with friends and family.
The newlyweds were all smiles as they exchanged vows before hosting what appeared to be a spectacular party for their guests.

This marks the second time in three years that Solomon and Voshina, a political science student, have found themselves in a dangerous situation abroad.
In 2022, the couple had to be evacuated from Ukraine by the Israeli government when Russia invaded the country whilst Solomon was playing for Shakhtar Donetsk. Now they face another anxious wait as the conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies.

The British Foreign Office has placed Israel on its "red list", advising against all travel to the region.
According to reports, an Israeli strike on Sunday killed the chief of Iran's armed forces intelligence unit.
Iranian authorities state that 224 people have been killed in attacks since Friday, whilst 24 people have lost their lives in Israel.

The conflict began when Israel launched its bombardment of Iran on Friday, with missile attacks targeting Iranian military and nuclear facilities.
Solomon is not the only footballer affected by the crisis, as Champions League finalist Mehdi Taremi remains stuck in Tehran after returning to Iran for international duty with the national team.
Solomon joined Tottenham in 2023 following an impressive loan spell at Fulham, but has made just six appearances for the north London club.

He spent last season on loan at Leeds United, where he scored 10 goals in 39 Championship matches, helping Daniel Farke's side achieve promotion to the Premier League.
The Inter Milan striker Taremi had been scheduled to travel to Los Angeles to join his team-mates for the Club World Cup following Iran's World Cup qualifiers.
However, the closure of Iranian airspace following Israeli missile attacks on military and nuclear targets has left him unable to leave Tehran, disrupting his plans to link up with the Italian team.
