Leeds pipped Burnley to the Championship title after a last-minute winner

Leeds United have been crowned Championship champions after a dramatic final day of the season, with Manor Solomon's stoppage-time goal securing the title.

The Whites entered Saturday level on 97 points with Burnley, setting up a straight shoot-out for the title and the chance to become Centurions.

There was plenty at stake elsewhere too, with Coventry City and Bristol City claiming the final play-off spots.

At the other end of the table, Luton Town suffered relegation to League One alongside already-relegated Cardiff and Plymouth Argyle.

The final day delivered action and drama across all 12 matches that kicked off simultaneously at 12:30pm.

Leeds left the door open for Burnley after falling behind early to Plymouth through a Sam Byram own goal.

Meanwhile, Burnley also fell behind when Mihailo Ivanovic scored for Millwall.

Both title-chasers drew level before the hour mark, with Josh Brownhill equalising for Burnley and Willy Gnonto bringing Leeds level early in the second half.

Burnley then reclaimed top spot in the as-things-stand table when Jaidon Anthony fired them in front, before Brownhill scored again to make it 3-1.

Leeds were still level as they entered stoppage-time, only for Manor Solomon to twist and turn to give them the title right at the death.

In the play-off race, Coventry City secured their spot with a convincing win over fellow contenders Middlesbrough.

Jack Rudoni struck just before half-time to give Coventry the lead, later adding a second to make the points safe.

Bristol City's path to the play-offs was more dramatic after Emil Riis put Preston ahead at Ashton Gate.

Preston doubled their advantage through Milutin Osmajic on the hour mark, putting City's play-off hopes in jeopardy.

However, Ross McCrorie sparked a comeback, scoring twice to secure a vital 2-2 draw.

The result was enough for Bristol City to join Sheffield United, Sunderland and Coventry in the play-offs.

Luton Town's relegation was confirmed after a heavy defeat to West Bromwich Albion, who scored five goals before the hour mark.

The Hatters did stage a late comeback to make it 5-3 but couldn't complete a miracle turnaround.

Hull City needed just a point to take advantage of Luton's defeat and secure their Championship status.

The Tigers went ahead away to Portsmouth, putting further pressure on Luton, before Pompey equalised through substitute Chris Saydee.

Hull held on through a tense final few minutes to claim the point they needed.

Preston North End's draw at Bristol City was also enough to keep them safe from relegation.
