Thomas Tuchel has admitted Bayern Munich are trying to find ways to thwart Jude Bellingham ahead of the Champions League semi-final first leg.

Real Madrid head to Munich this evening hoping the England international can continue his fine form and spearhead more European success.

Bellingham has had a sensational first season at the Bernabeu, scoring 21 goals and registering 10 assists in 36 matches in all competitions.

He has established himself as one of Europe's top midfielders at the age of 20 after leaving Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Bellingham had three years at Dortmund, a club Tuchel managed earlier in his coaching career.

Tuchel claims the former Birmingham City ace has already shown huge progression from his spell in Germany.

And he says his Bayern squad are well aware of the dangers he possesses ahead of their meeting at the Allianz Arena.

Tuchel said: "Jude is extraordinary. He was fantastic here in the Bundesliga, how he progressed shows the level of personality he has, it's only possible with a huge personality.

"Everyone who plays for Madrid plays with the pressure of the shirt.

"He plays with the pressure to play with this club and all the expectations.

"He handles it like he's never done anything else. He's very dangerous and very, very physical in his game. He's an absolute key player in a very offensive position.

"But we are well aware of it and will try and find solutions tomorrow."

Bayern overcame Arsenal 3-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals as Harry Kane aims to finally end his wait for a trophy.

But they will head into the tie with Real as underdogs, with their opponents aiming to claim a 15th Champions League or European Cup success.

Tuchel is confident his team have what it takes to cause Carlo Ancelotti's side problems.

But he admits they need luck on their side to get the better of Los Blancos.

Tuchel added: "You need luck, momentum, freedom, the whole package to overcome Real Madrid in the semi-finals.

"Right now we have a good mix between anticipation and tension.

"You can achieve a lot with tactics. The approach is the car, and the players have to drive it.

"We need to find a good balance and moments where we have the right solutions.

"We want to play the game in isolation, without any background thoughts. That’s important to ensure we have the freedom to play a top game.

"We’ll try our all to win the game. Then we’ll know how things stand for the second leg.

"The job against Real is about getting enough people in attack to hurt them, but also not to expose ourselves.

"We need a good balance of discipline and freedom."
