The England international popped up with a huge winner on Sunday night

Jude Bellingham has dubbed Real Madrid team-mate Lucas Vazquez a 'f***ing legend' after Los Blancos beat Barcelona 3-2 in El Clasico on Sunday.

The match looked like it would end in a draw after Vinicius Jr, Vazquez, Andreas Christensen and Fermin Lopez all struck.

Yet Bellingham scored in the closing stages to give Real all three points and move the club closer to LaLiga glory.

Vazquez was one of the best players on the pitch, however, with the Spain international earning praise for his exploits.

And Bellingham, writing on X, paid tribure to his team-mate by saying: "Lucas Vazquez you f***ing legend."

Footage on X also showed Bellingham appearing to shush Barcelona fans inside the ground, too.

With Real beating Barcelona, they're now 11 points clear of their fierce rivals with just six matches remaining.

Bellingham joined the Spanish titans from Borussia Dortmund back in the summer.

And the 20-year-old has become an instant hero at the Bernabeu, managing 31 goal involvements across all competitions during his maiden year on Spanish soil.

Real boss Carlo Ancelotti was delighted with his side's victory, admitting Bellingham's late winner could be 'fundamental' to the club winning LaLiga.

"He arrived at just the right time, he worked so hard in the game," said the Italian.

"It's been a while since he scored and today he scored a goal that could be fundamental in winning the league."

Real beat Barcelona just days after they'd edged Manchester City to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

And Ancelotti said his team were running on empty during the clash.

“We have handled the situation well, twice we needed to turn the match around, and we were capable of doing it," he said.

“And then with that last drop of energy, from an unforgettable week, we have managed to win.”

While it was a brilliant night for Real, it was a painful defeat for Barcelona.

The Catalan giants were left unhappy with the lack of goal-line technology, with Lamine Yamal believing he'd scored.

And Xavi admitted he was hurt by the loss when quizzed on the result.

"With the game we played, the normal thing is to win, we played better than Madrid at the Bernabeu," he said.

"We have to tell the fans that we played very well today and we deserved the three points.

When asked about the lack of goal-line technology, he added: "It's a shame.

"I said that I wish the referee would go unnoticed and get it right, and neither of the two."

Xavi does want Barcelona to keep on pushing to secure second ahead of his exit at the end of the season, however.
