Everton are making significant progress in their attempts to secure Manchester City's Jack Grealish on a season-long loan arrangement.
The 29-year-old England international has reportedly agreed to the proposed transfer to Merseyside after Pep Guardiola informed him he was no longer part of the club's plans.
Negotiations between the two clubs have accelerated in recent days, with the Toffees prepared to meet City's demands regarding the player's substantial wages.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Merseyside club are advancing on a deal for the former Aston Villa captain, with contact between the clubs reportedly intensifying over the weekend.
It has been further reported that Everton have ramped up their efforts and held further talks about a temporary arrangement.
Grealish is keen on joining the Toffees, viewing the move as an opportunity to revive his career.
The England international has struggled for regular playing time at City, starting just seven Premier League matches during the 2024/25 campaign.
City are keen to recoup as much of the player's hefty salary as possible, a condition Everton appear ready to satisfy.
Guardiola acknowledged the situation candidly, stating: "It was a conversation between him and the club and they decide.
"Jack is an exceptional player, the only reason why he didn't play last season is of course my decisions."

Since arriving from Aston Villa for £100 million in 2021, the winger has managed just 17 goals in 157 appearances for the Premier League champions.
The potential acquisition would represent Everton's sixth signing of the summer transfer window under new ownership from the Friedkin Group.
