A statue of Harry Kane has been lying disused for four years with the local council unable to agree on where to place it.
Kane, who grew up in Chingford, is recognised as one of England's best-ever footballers having become the country's all-time leading goalscorer a year ago.
And it appears as though local councillors wanted to get ahead of the curve in honouring Kane's career.
It's been reported that Waltham Forest Council commissioned a statue to be built of Kane back in 2019 and it was finished a year later.

Conservative councillors Emma Best and Roy Berg were allocated £7,200 as part of their community ward funding for a statue of the England captain.
It was originally hoped the statue, which reportedly depicts Kane sitting on a bench, would be installed on the platform at Chingford Overground station.
But the proposal was denied following a risk assessment done by Transport for London.
There were said to be fears that the life-size figure would be a target for rival football fans.
TFL instead suggested placing the statue outside the train station but it doesn't appear that has been approved either.
There was said to have been talk of the statue being placed at Ridgeway Park, where Kane used to play as a youth footballer.
But Best and Berg scrapped the proposal with the former admitting to have spent "hours and hours" working out a home for the statue.
A spokesperson for Kane told the BBC admitted to being hopeful the statue would be revealed "in the coming months".
"Especially with Harry being England and Tottenham's all time top goal scorer. It is what he deserves," they said.

"The location of the statue is really important to us and like Emma said we are having some issues at the moment, but when we get it right, we will be happy to go."
The proposal for the statue appears to have been made around the time Kane led Tottenham to the Champions League final in 2019.

Kane was instrumental two years later in helping England reach the final of the European Championships where they lost to Italy on penalties.
The 30-year-old has since left English football to join Bayern Munich, where he's continued his impressive goalscoring record.
