Bayern Munich have won the Bundesliga, the second league title of Harry Kane's career

Bayern Munich have claimed their record-extending 35th German league championship after mounting a spirited fightback to defeat Stuttgart 4-2 at the Allianz Arena this afternoon.

The triumph hands Harry Kane his third piece of silverware since arriving in Bavaria, adding to his two Bundesliga titles and German Super Cup.

Vincent Kompany's side moved an insurmountable 15 points clear of Borussia Dortmund with just four matches remaining, having lost only once throughout the entire campaign.

Wild celebrations erupted following the final whistle as the Bavarian giants successfully defended their domestic crown, continuing their remarkable stranglehold on German football.

The England captain was introduced at the interval as a replacement for Jamal Musiala, having been rested from the starting lineup following Wednesday's thrilling Champions League quarter-final triumph over Real Madrid.

It took Kane merely seven minutes to make his mark, converting from close range to register his 32nd Bundesliga goal in just 27 appearances this term.

Stuttgart had earlier threatened to spoil the title party when Chris Fuhrich curled home a superb strike in the 21st minute, momentarily silencing the expectant home supporters.

Chema Andres added a late consolation for the visitors, though it proved entirely inconsequential.

Raphael Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson and Alphonso Davies orchestrated a remarkable turnaround during a breathless six-minute spell before half-time.

Guerreiro equalised in the 31st minute following a brilliant individual run and cutback from Musiala, before on-loan Chelsea forward Jackson fired the hosts ahead just two minutes later.

Davies completed the rapid transformation with an improvised flick past goalkeeper Alexander Nubel in the 37th minute.

"It's been a fantastic season for us," Kane remarked afterwards. "To finish the league off in the way we have with the goals we scored... credit to the lads... we still have a lot to play for... but all the hard work, this makes it all worth it."

This latest championship represents Bayern's 13th Bundesliga crown in the past 14 seasons, with Kompany having swiftly restored domestic supremacy following Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten double last year.

The Belgian manager, who succeeded Thomas Tuchel in 2024, now has his sights firmly set on an historic treble.

Bayern face Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal semi-final on Tuesday before attention turns to their Champions League last-four encounter with holders Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on 28th April.

Should they prevail on both fronts, Kompany's men would emulate the legendary 2012-13 side that swept all three major honours.
