Harry Kane has broken his silence after failing to score in Bayern Munich’s dominating 10-0 victory over New Zealand side Auckland FC.
The German side sent a clear message to the rest of the tournament of their ruthless nature on Sunday.
Many supporters would have felt that keeping Kane, who has scored 82 goals since his £100million move from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, quiet would have given the Kiwi side a chance of pulling off an unlikely result.
This was far from reality, though, as even without England’s top marksman getting on the scoresheet, Bayern still managed to smash 10 goals past a helpless Auckland.
Jamal Musiala, Michel Olise, Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman all got on the scoresheet for Bayern Munich

Auckland are the only amateur side taking part in the competition and are ranked 5,068 places below Bayern, according to Opta.
In fact, the Kiwi side’s goalkeeper, Conor Tracey, currently works in a pharmaceutical warehouse and had to apply for unpaid vacation leave in order to participate in the tournament.
He said he will “struggle a bit with rent and bills” but it is “100 per cent worth it”.

Tracey was on the receiving end of 10 goals from Bayern, with Michael Olise’s first-half strike from the edge of the box the pick of the bunch.
Despite failing to get on the scoresheet, Kane took to social media to express his delight over the German champions’ start to the tournament.
"Three points and a strong start in the @fifaclubworldcup,” he wrote on Instagram.

The former Tottenham striker was subbed on the hour mark for young star Jamal Musiala.
Musiala, 22, would go on to bag a hat-trick in just 23 minutes, with Tracey gifting him the ball on the edge of the box for the German to complete his treble.
The match broke the record for the largest margin of victory in a Club World Cup fixture in just the second game of the new format.
