The much-loved sports presenter has had some tough times away from the studio

Gabby Logan has become a household name on British television, presenting coverage of major sporting events including the FIFA World Cup, Olympic Games and UEFA Euros.

Beyond sports, she has hosted entertainment shows like Splash! and Flockstars.

The presenter balances her successful broadcasting career with family life as a mother to twins Reuben and Lois.

Logan's husband Kenny is a former Scottish international rugby union player who represented Scotland and played for Glasgow Warriors and Wasps RSC.

The couple met during a night out in Fulham, with Kenny admitting he was "dumbstruck" and "incredibly excited" upon meeting the sports presenter.

After a whirlwind romance, Kenny proposed just seven months later, and they married in July 2000.

The couple welcomed twins Reuben and Lois in 2005 and now reside in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

In 2022, Gabby encouraged her husband to undergo a Well Man health check, which unexpectedly revealed he was in the early stages of prostate cancer.

Doctors recommended Kenny have his entire prostate removed to prevent the cancer spreading further.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast about his diagnosis, Kenny revealed: "When you're told you've got cancer, I literally fell over. I didn't see it coming, no symptoms whatsoever."

The operation was successful, with Kenny later sharing he was "95% back to normal".

Gabby has spoken openly about the tragic loss of her brother Daniel, who died in 1992 at just 15 years old from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

She was 19 when her sibling passed away suddenly while playing football with their father, former Wales and Leeds footballer Terry Yorath.

"He was so fit, so strong, never ill, there were no signs at all," Gabby has said of her brother, who had just signed for Leeds United.

Daniel's death hit Gabby hard, particularly around the first anniversary when she was preparing for university exams.

"I was running around running from my grief, probably, and then by the end of my first year at university, so just around the time of his first anniversary, I had some first year exams and it all kind of came crashing down," she revealed on the ainslie + ainslie Performance People podcast.

She struggled with sleep and felt "wobbly" before eventually seeking counselling.

Gabby has shared insights into maintaining her successful marriage with Kenny over their 25 years together.

"Sometimes there's going to be a player who needs picking up, and other times they're the star of the game, and it's someone else who needs the boost. With a marriage, it's the same," she told Good Housekeeping Magazine.

She emphasised the importance of continuous effort in relationships, adding: "We also never stop working at it.

"It isn't something you can just leave to be and hope it's all right in 15 years."
