There are some stellar draws awaiting us in the fourth round of the FA Cup

Monday's FA Cup fourth round draw has thrown up a cracking encounter between Aston Villa and Newcastle as the standout fixture.

The draw took place ahead of Liverpool's third round clash with League One outfit Barnsley, giving all remaining clubs a glimpse of their next opponents on the road to Wembley.

Newcastle booked their spot after an entertaining 3-3 draw with Bournemouth that went all the way to penalties.

Whoever comes out on top in this all-Premier League showdown will face Brighton in the fifth round – the side who knocked Manchester United out at the first hurdle.

The Silkmen will fancy their chances of another memorable cup run after that stunning result.

Wrexham are also hoping to continue their fairytale journey after dumping Nottingham Forest out on penalties.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side will host Ipswich in what promises to be another Hollywood-worthy chapter for the Welsh club.

Arsenal, who sit top of the Premier League, had a slight wobble before thumping Portsmouth 4-1 on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta's men will welcome Wigan to the Emirates for their fourth round tie.

Chelsea enjoyed a comfortable 5-1 victory over Championship side Charlton Athletic and have been handed an away trip to Hull City.

It will see new boss Liam Rosenior make a swift return to Hull, where his managerial career started.

Manchester City recorded a remarkable 10-1 win against League Two's Exeter City – a record-breaking scoreline at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola's side will face either Salford City or Swindon Town next.

Leicester, who lifted the trophy back in 2021, will take on Southampton following their 2-0 win over Cheltenham Town.
