Erling Haaland is set to swap the football pitch for the recording studio after landing his first film role.
The Manchester City striker will make his acting debut by voicing an animated version of himself in the upcoming family film Viqueens.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 25-year-old will portray a Viking character named Haaland in the adventure-comedy, which is currently in production.
The film is being directed and co-written by Harald Zwart, the filmmaker behind The Karate Kid and Agent Cody Banks.
Zwart said Haaland's involvement adds a natural authenticity to the project.
"As a Norwegian storyteller making a Viking adventure for a global audience, having Erling Haaland join feels incredibly exciting," he said.
"Erling has already become a kind of real-life Viking icon around the world – powerful, fearless and uniquely Norwegian.

"His involvement brings another exciting dimension to a film that already combines international adventure, humour and emotional storytelling in a way we believe will resonate with audiences everywhere."
Haaland is the latest football star to venture into the entertainment industry.
David Beckham made his big-screen debut in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, directed by his friend Guy Ritchie.
Meanwhile, former Wimbledon hardman Vinnie Jones has built a successful acting career, appearing in films such as X-Men: The Last Stand and the television adaptation of The Gentlemen.
Haaland's acting debut comes as he continues to establish himself as one of the most recognisable athletes on the planet.

Since joining Manchester City in 2022, the prolific striker has shattered goalscoring records and helped the club win multiple major honours under manager Pep Guardiola.
Despite his new venture into film, Haaland's immediate focus remains firmly on football.
City are still battling with Arsenal in the Premier League title race, with only two matches remaining in the campaign.
Haaland is expected to lead the line again when City travel to Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
