Wembley was completely quiet as both sets of England and Greece players held a minute's silence in tribute of George Baldock.
The former Sheffield United player was found dead at his home in Athens on Wednesday after drowning in his pool.
Both sets of players also wore black armbands to commemorate the 31-year-old.
Baldock, who played 12 times for Greece as he qualified through his grandmother, was found in his pool after his wife could not get hold of him and raised the alarm.

His family confirmed news of his tragic death with a heartbreaking statement.
"We can confirm that George has sadly passed away," it read. "As a family we are in shock at this terrible loss."
Baldock had spent seven years at Sheffield United where he helped them win promotion to the Premier League on two occasions.
After his contract expired in the summer, he moved to Greece to sign for Panathinaikos.
He had only just played a few days ago on Sunday for his new club in a league match against Olympiakos.

The Greek Football Federation said in a statement: "With deep sadness and pain, the National Team and the Hellenic Football Federation say goodbye to George Baldock.
"There are no words to describe the human pain caused by the news of the untimely loss of one of our young people. The moment calls for silence.
"Condolences to his family. Condolences from his second family. Goodbye."

Greece will also hold tribute to the right-back when they host the Republic of Ireland on Sunday in Athens.
Panathinaikos also paid tribute to the footballer on social media.

"We are shocked, we are shocked by the loss of our George," the Greek club said in a statement.
"The family of Panathinaikos mourns his untimely death. We stand with the family and loved ones of George Baldock."
