Bruno Fernandes has turned down a sensational £200million proposal from Saudi giants Al-Hilal, according to reports.
The Saudi side has been willing to pay whatever number is needed to get the Portuguese midfielder to leave Old Trafford, having even made direct contact with his entourage last week.
It was reported that Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinto, spent three days at the Four Seasons in Riyadh last week, where he held face-to-face talks with club officials.
Al Hilal is said to have tabled an offer worth £200million over a three-year contract and is ready to bid in the region of £100million for his services.
Bruno Fernandes has reportedly turned down the eye-watering offer
PAHowever, reports have come out today claiming Fernandes has come to a decision about his future and will reject the massive sum in favour of top-level European football.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Fernandes’ top priority is playing at the highest level in Europe.
These reports spell bad news for Manchester United after losing to Tottenham in the Europa League final.
They will not be playing in Europe next season, which may lead to the Portuguese playmaker looking for clubs playing Champions League football next season.
It remains to be seen which of the top European sides would be interested in Fernandes.
