When Manchester City host Manchester United on Sunday, all eyes will be on Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Italian signed for City late in the summer transfer window and has been given the unenviable task of replacing Ederson, who won six Premier League titles during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
For many, Donnarumma's signing makes sense. He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, having flourished at Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan throughout his career.
Former Premier League star Brad Friedel, speaking exclusively to GB News via Bet365 Bonus code on Oddspedia, believes replacing Ederson will be difficult.
Gianluigi Donnarumma won the Champions League with PSG last season before his move to Man City

"They are both in the top five goalkeepers in the world," he said when asked about both Donnarumma and Edersin.
"So both hugely valuable goal keepers to any team, especially Man City. He [Donnarumma] most definitely isn't a step back for sure.
"He has just won the Champions League and been hugely influential in securing PSG with their first title in Europe.

"So I think he could even be a step up. Ederson may need a new challenge as has been incredible for Man City
"What a goalkeeper he has been to secure a treble for Man City and win so many titles. This is a new challenge for Donnarumma, to come to the Premier League, I am excited to see how he does."
On the red side of town, there has also been a goalkeeping change.
Andre Onana, after struggling for form, has been offloaded to Turkish side Trabzonspor on loan.

Manchester United opted to loan out Andre Onana amid his poor form at Old Trafford
| PAUnited have recruited Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp as a replacement, though Altay Bayindir is primed to start against City.
Friedel believes the Red Devils were wise to cut Onana loose.
"Onana never really settled at United to be honest. He never looked comfortable being No 1 at Man Utd and the defence could see this for sure," he continued.
"Man Utd used to have the best goalkeepers and were known to have a strong defence with Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van der Sar being two of the best they had.
"The recruitment in goalkeepers for United recently has been really bad, a fall from grace from Schmeichel and Van der Sar. The new signing Lammens is a step up for sure."
When United signed Onana, they did so after cutting David de Gea loose.
In Friedel's opinion, that was the wrong call.
When asked if United should never have got rid of De Gea, he said: "I don't think so.

"Having a good goalkeeper is so important as it assures the defence, gives them confidence and the team can grow from there."
