Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta might have sat up and taken notice after one of his top striker targets made a huge case to move to the Emirates.
The Gunners had made signing a striker a priority in the summer transfer window but struggled to land one of their targets.
Three strikers have been strongly linked - Benjamin Sesko, Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres.
And Sesko scored a hat-trick on Monday night for Slovenia in a Nations League clash against Kazakhstan in impressive fashion to reassert himself in the transfer race.

The RB Leipzig star has been linked with several clubs across Europe including Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich, as well as Arsenal.
Sesko could have left the German club this summer but decided to stay behind to continue his development, having only joined RB Leipzig in 2023.
The 21-year-old has showed he has huge talent with his latest performance seeing him notch up three more goals for Slovenia, including a Cristiano Ronaldo-like header where he rose highest to nod in his third of the night.
Arsenal scored the most goals from set-pieces last season in the Premier League and the 6ft5 striker showed that he could slot straight into their system.
But his most impressive goal was the opener on the night where he proved he is not just a target man.

After picking up the ball about 30 yards from goal, he dribbled past three defenders before dinking the ball over the goalkeeper in jaw-dropping fashion.
With Arteta desperate to bolster his strike force - which boasts just Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus currently after Eddie Nketiah left - Sesko could be the perfect answer to Manchester City and Erling Haaland.
Reports indicate that the Gunners will launch another assault on RB Leipzig for the former RB Salzburg ace and are confident that they can pull off a deal.

With Arsenal tracking two other strikers in Isak and Gyokeres, it would seem that Sesko is the priority target.
The two alternatives had stunning seasons themselves last campaign with Isak rattling in 25 goals in all competitions for Newcastle.
That was despite having some injury concerns throughout the season, though he still netted 21 in the Premier League after 30 appearances.

Gyokeres, meanwhile, had an incredible year at Sporting in Portugal after leaving Championship side Coventry.
Despite the step up, the 26-year-old scored 43 times in 50 appearances in all competitions which led to a scramble for his signature - but no one met Sporting's €100m (£85.7m) release clause.
The Sweden international has also started this season in fine fashion, too, with seven goals in four league appearances already - as well as one assist.
