Max Verstappen was not having the best time throughout the Hungarian Grand Prix.

An agitated Max Verstappen lost his tempter with Red Bull engineer Gianpiero Lambiase in a furious outburst during the Hungarian Grand Prix before he crashed into Lewis Hamilton in an eventful race.

Verstappen started the race on the second row behind both McLaren cars and made a strong start off the line.

He ended up overtaking Lando Norris at the first corner, but was then ordered to give the place back for gaining an advantage while going off the track.

The three-time world champion struggled to keep up with the leading duo and then dropped into a battle with Lewis Hamilton.

But his frustrations grew as he was caught out by Hamilton getting the undercut done by pitting early with Red Bull unable to respond.

Verstappen continued to moan about his car on the radio when he eventually caught back up with Hamilton, but was unable to make an overtake stick.

And those frustrations boiled over after his second pit stop when it appears as though Verstappen was advised to take it slow on his new tyres.

Lambiase sarcastically said: "Well that's some gentle introduction.

"But the remark went down like a lead balloon as Verstappen exploded in a fit of rage.

He replied: "No mate, don't give me that s***.

"You guys gave me this **** strategy, ok?

"I'm trying to rescue what's left."

Verstappen managed to recover to get back on track as he began making his way through the field.

The Red Bull driver made quick work of getting past Charles Leclerc and he began closing in on Hamilton for third.

With DRS, Verstappen made a late lunge going into Turn One and locked up before colliding with Hamilton.
