Ferrari have confirmed team principal Fred Vasseur will miss Monaco Grand Prix qualifying after being admitted to a local hospital for observation.
The Italian team released a statement on Saturday morning announcing that the 58-year-old would not be present at the Circuit de Monaco following medical checks.
Vasseur had been heavily involved in Ferrari's preparations throughout the week and was seen in the paddock during Friday's practice sessions.
However, he will play no part in qualifying as Ferrari continue their pursuit of a crucial result in Monte Carlo.

A statement from the Scuderia said: "Fred Vasseur will not be present at the circuit today.
"Following some medical checks, Fred will remain under observation at a local medical facility.
"No further medical information will be provided.
"We wish Fred a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at the track soon."

The development comes at a pivotal moment for the team, with Ferrari emerging as one of the strongest contenders heading into qualifying.
Both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton showed impressive pace during Friday's practice sessions around the famous street circuit.
Leclerc, racing on home soil, is once again among the favourites to challenge for pole position, while Hamilton also appeared comfortable behind the wheel.

The Ferrari boss stressed that Monaco presents unique challenges and warned that conditions can change dramatically between sessions.
"It's a very long way in Monaco from Friday, first to the quali, then to the race," Vasseur said.
"The most difficult thing is that you have to anticipate the evolution of the track, the evolution of the grip, and you have to be always one session ahead."
He added: "This is a real challenge for the team and for the drivers.
"It's still a long way and we'll see tomorrow evening about the real pace."
