Ferrari's team principal Fred Vasseur is understood to be closely observing the driver landscape at McLaren, with both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri emerging as prospective candidates to fill future vacancies at the Scuderia.
According to reports, the talented British-Australian pairing currently racing for Zak Brown's outfit are being considered as potential long-term replacements for either Lewis Hamilton or Charles Leclerc.

For the seven-time world champion, speculation regarding retirement has dominated discussion among commentators, though it is believed contractual provisions exist that could see him remain at Maranello through 2027.
Leclerc's situation presents different considerations entirely.
The Monegasque driver, now entering his prime years, reportedly remains open to a potential switch to Mercedes.
Perhaps most tellingly, the 27-year-old recently described the forthcoming 2026 season as "now or never" for his Ferrari team, a statement that has raised eyebrows within the paddock.

Piastri's circumstances may prove particularly fluid, with reports suggesting the Australian's position could shift following his failure to secure the 2025 Drivers' Championship ahead of teammate Norris.
Beyond the McLaren duo, Vasseur is understood to have additional options under consideration.
British rising star Oliver Bearman features prominently in discussions, whilst the Ferrari boss has also turned his attention to Rafael Camara.
The Brazilian youngster will compete with Invicta Racing as he attempts to follow in the footsteps of recent consecutive F3 and F2 champions Gabriel Bortoleto and Leonardo Fornaroli.
Bearman has already established himself as a future star during his maiden full campaign in the sport.

"Well, you know, I'm in F1, and you have to back yourself," he stated.
