Christian Horner was sacked by Red Bull earlier today

Christian Horner may have been sacked by Red Bull on Wednesday, but with his wealth and his wife, Geri Halliwell, the power couple are sure to be okay for a few years to come.

On Wednesday morning, Red Bull relieved team boss Horner of his duties after a difficult 2025 season.

It comes right off the back of an incredibly disappointing British Grand Prix, which saw Max Verstappen fall from pole position back to fifth place in tricky conditions, as well as seeing his team-mate Yuki Tsunoda have another pointless weekend for the Milton Keynes outfit.

Red Bull currently sits fourth in the constructors' championship, a staggering 288 points behind championship leaders McLaren at the halfway point of the season. With four-time reigning world champion Verstappen, only sitting third a long way adrift of his papaya rivals.

As Horner now has to exit the team he has been with for 20 years, his staggering net worth has been revealed. Between himself and his wife, the couple is worth a staggering £440 million.

Horner initially kicked off his career as a racing driver, but when that didn’t work out for him, he went on to become the team principal of GP2 series team Arden in 1999. This would then lead him to the role of team principal at Red Bull Racing in 2005.

The role was claimed to earn him an annual salary of £7.7m. Although the couple total up to £440m, Horner himself is only worth around £36m.

The majority of their income comes from the former Spice Girls’ musical career, as well as her acting roles and her latest venture, children’s books.

Horner’s time at Red Bull has been filled with turbulence, especially in recent months. 17 months ago, Horner was embroiled in a scandal as he was accused by a female colleague of “inappropriate behaviour.”

He was cleared of those charges twice by Red Bull’s parent company and denied the claims throughout.

With the struggles on the racetrack and the media controversies, it appears Red Bull has decided it is time for a clean break from Horner.
