The couple have put on a united front over the past few months

Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell are set to find themselves soon back in the spotlight with the Red Bull saga reportedly due to enter its 'next stage' after this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix.

Horner is currently in the Far East ahead of the big event, which takes place on Sunday.

The 50-year-old was cleared of misconduct earlier in the year, having always denied allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

He has since overseen the first four races of the season in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Australia and Japan.

Horner is hoping for a successful event in China, with Red Bull impressing so far amid the fine form of Max Verstappen.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the female employee who accused the Briton of misconduct is set to give evidence in the days that follow the race.

She is challenging the initial finding that cleared Horner of any wrongdoing.

It's said her appeal is due to be heard by a KC.

But Horner's allies maintain her original case was dismissed on grounds of 'dishonesty' on her part.

Horner's accuser has been left 'very sad' and 'very lonely' after being suspended by Red Bull, with the employee maintaining she's telling the truth.

With the saga set to gather pace once the Chinese GP is out of the way, it's likely to place strain on Horner and his wife, Geri Halliwell.

Geri has been supportive of her husband, publicly standing by his side during Grand Prixs in Bahrain and Saudi.

But when the allegations were first made against Horner, she reportedly 'went to ground'.

Geri and Horner married in 2015 and have one child together.

And how the situation plays out in the coming days remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, regarding F1 matters, Red Bull are yet to confirm their driver line-up for next year.

While Sergio Perez has hinted he'll be signing a new deal with the team, talk of a move for Carlos Sainz Jr remains ongoing.

But Horner, speaking ahead of this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix, insisted no final decision had been made.

"Not very, I'm afraid," he said when asked how close they were to announcing their line-up for next year.

"It's incredible that we are at race five and there is so much talk already about drivers for next year.

"We are in a situation where we are very happy with our two drivers, and we don't need to make a final decision about our line-up until much later in the year.

"Obviously, Max is on a long-term contract and Checo [Perez] is out of contract at the end of this year but has been driving exceptionally well so far this season."

When asked about Perez's contract hint, he added: "Of course, he would like to make an announcement tomorrow, undoubtedly.

"We as a team aren't in a particular rush, we are in a fortunate position where many drivers obviously would like to drive for the team, but we are happy with the pairing that we have, we just want to make sure that the level of consistency Checo started the season with is maintained.

"In due course we will evaluate those options, but at this point in time we are very happy with the line-up we have, so there is no imminent rush to announce the full driver line-up for 2025."

Red Bull have won just twice in China since the Grand Prix started in 2004.

Sebastian Vettel secured glory in 2009, with Daniel Ricciardo then achieving success nine years later.
