The two rivals meet at Hampden Park tonight

England team news seems to have leaked ahead of their friendly showdown with Scotland on Tuesday night.

Gareth Southgate's side go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Ukraine on Saturday night, while Steve Clarke's team cruised to a 3-0 win over Cyprus.

All eyes will be on Hampden Park when both teams step out with bragging rights at stake.

And Sky Sports claim three players are guaranteed to start for England as they look to put their rivals to the sword.

It's said Aaron Ramsdale will start between the sticks, with Jordan Pickford primed to be on the bench.

The Arsenal star has only won three caps during his career so far, with the last coming in a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Hungary last year.

Ramsdale has been impressive for Arsenal so far this season, helping the Gunners win three of their first four Premier League matches.

And he'll be charged with the task of keeping Scotland at bay as a result of his imminent selection.

It's also claimed Kieran Trippier will start the game at left-back, despite being a right-back by trade.

Kyle Walker is set to get the nod, too, having scored his first England goal during the draw with Ukraine over the weekend.

England last met Scotland at the European Championships in July 2021 at Wembley Stadium in London.

But neither side was able to score in a flat and unforgettable encounter.

Before that, England drew 2-2 with Scotland in a dramatic match at Hampden.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put the Three Lions ahead, with a brace from Leigh Griffiths then turning the match around.

Yet England managed to snatch a draw at the death courtesy of a goal from Harry Kane.

Speaking ahead of the match in Scotland, Southgate said he wasn't too hard on his players for failing to beat Ukraine.

"We know our attacking play didn't quite click," said Southgate.

"Some of that was the surface because to make those quick incisive passes you just needed a little extra touch or there was a little bobble, so I was very conscious I wasn't going to be too harsh on my internal review of the players.

"You could see moments watching it back where the ball pops over a player's feet or he goes to play it first time and it lofts in the air.

"The reaction for us is we're top of the group, we're top scorers in Europe. The boys did a really good job in a difficult environment.

"We want to be better and we want to set a high standard so we weren't as happy coming away with a point as we might have been, but it's still a good result."

As for Clarke, the Scotland boss isn't underestimating England and their desire to win the match.

“England will want to beat us. Don’t make any mistake about that — don’t think this fixture is more important to Scotland," he warned.

“I’ve been living in England for a long time and it means a lot to them as well, but hopefully we can give our fans a few more memories.

“This fixture has been 150 years in the making. In my lifetime, England have moved a bit in front.

“But the neighbours have been pretty quiet and I don’t want them knocking at the door laughing at me!

“It’s a competitive friendly. We are trying to close the gap on them and we’ll find out how much we have at Hampden.”
