Price secured victory against Joe Comito in his latest match, advancing in the World Series tournament whilst sporting a gold-coloured shirt chosen specifically for the Australian audience.

The world number six revealed the extent of his transformation, stating: "I think I have lost between 13-15kgs. About two stone."

His new lifestyle has brought significant psychological advantages beyond the physical changes.

"I don't think it affects me physically when I'm throwing but mentally it definitely helps. I feel comfortable," Price explained.

The Welsh star has successfully transitioned into smaller clothing sizes, though he admitted the process required patience.

"I tried to squeeze into a large size a little bit too soon but after a month or two, I was able to fit into it. It was alright then," he said.

Despite his impressive weight loss achievement, Price confessed to struggling with fast food temptations.

"I have started craving McDonald's now and again. I was having one at 6.30am," the darts champion admitted.

The sustainability of his new regime remains uncertain, with Price acknowledging potential challenges ahead. "Is this a long-term approach? I am not sure," he said, before adding: "So, give it another month, if I keep doing that, it will be back on!"

His battle with jetlag during the Australian tournament hasn't helped matters. Price revealed he's been struggling with sleep patterns, remaining on UK time whilst competing on the other side of the world.

The father of two offered refreshingly honest insights into his motivations for competing at the highest level.

"Trophies don't matter to me. It's the ranking points and a bit of money at the minute," Price stated candidly.

Financial security for his family takes precedence over silverware, as he explained: "I have a family to look after, as long as I provide for those, build a platform, invest my money well.

"I love to win trophies, to do well, leave a legacy but money means everything, doesn't it?"
