The Gypsy King beat his American rival twice earlier in their repsective careers

Tyson Fury has branded Deontay Wilder a "b*****d" in a scathing Instagram post responding to the American boxer's claims about racial bias in their rivalry.

The 37-year-old British heavyweight, currently preparing in Thailand for his 11 April bout against Arslanbek Makhmudov, hit back at Wilder's latest comments about discrimination in boxing.

"Always bringing colour into sports total bellend!" Fury wrote on the social media platform.

"It's hard for all men! Get on with it."

The response came after the 42-year-old Wilder made headlines by walking out of a talkSPORT studio interview on Wednesday, during which he raised concerns about racial profiling and historic slavery.

The dispute between the two heavyweight rivals intensified following Wilder's appearance on a Ring Magazine podcast in New York last week.

During the programme, the American accused Fury of being "the biggest cheater in the history of boxing" and pledged to substantiate his allegations through a forthcoming documentary.

Wilder also made explosive claims about their controversial first encounter in December 2018, which ended in a draw.

He alleged that referee Jack Reiss gave Fury an extended count in the 12th round due to "white supremacy".

Speaking on a separate podcast with Derek Chisora in America, Wilder stated: "Being a black man, with dark skin, makes it harder to believe me than a white man."

The talkSPORT interview with presenter Simon Jordan quickly descended into chaos when Wilder was confronted with his various allegations.

Jordan firmly denied that the heated exchange had anything to do with race, but something triggered in the American fighter.

Wilder abruptly left the studio, with his entourage required to settle him down in the News UK green room afterwards.

Once composed, he ventured out for fish and chips with Derek Chisora at Borough Market.

In a subsequent, calmer interview that afternoon, Wilder acknowledged his outburst but continued to discuss slavery and maintained that white people cannot comprehend the experience of being black.

Fury himself has previously spoken out against discrimination, having led a 'Travellers Lives Matter' demonstration in 2020. The protest in Morecambe was organised after a man was denied entry to a pub.

At the Lancaster march, Fury addressed the crowd, saying: "There is a protest going on, Travellers Lives Matter. You shouldn't be racist towards Travellers in 2020."

He continued: "Racism in Lancaster 2020. How is this even possible in today's society? Totally unacceptable behaviour. Racism at work."

The Gypsy King, who identifies as a member of the Traveller community, has been vocal about prejudice faced by his own community whilst now criticising Wilder for introducing racial issues into their boxing rivalry.
