The fight has been marred by controversy

The highly anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis scheduled for 14 November has been moved from Atlanta to Miami.

The bout will now take place at the Kaseya Center in Florida rather than State Farm Arena in Georgia as initially planned.

The relocation follows Most Valuable Promotions' decision to withdraw their application for event permits in Georgia. The company, established by Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, pulled their request for the necessary permissions and rule exemptions required to stage the event in Atlanta.

The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix, maintaining its original date despite the change of venue.

Paul expressed confidence about the venue switch, stating: "New city, same mission, seek and destroy the tank. Kaseya Center. Friday, November 14. I'm bringing the heat, and Miami will see me take down this angry elf while the world watches live on Netflix."

The promotional team has adjusted their media schedule following the relocation. Press conferences originally planned for 17 September in New York and 18 September in Atlanta have been postponed.

The rescheduled media events will now occur on 22 September in New York and 23 September in Miami.

These conferences are expected to provide additional details about the bout, which has generated significant interest despite the venue complications.

Most Valuable Promotions chief Bidarian criticised Georgia's athletic commission for their handling of the situation.

"Unfortunately, we made the decision to withdraw the event from Georgia after several interviews conducted by Commissioner Rick Thompson, who seems to have a personal agenda, publicly misrepresenting the facts and undermining what was set to be a massive event for Atlanta, featuring multiple world championship bouts and the launch of efforts to revitalize world-class boxing in Georgia," Bidarian stated.

Rick Thompson, who chairs the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission, suggested to USA Today that the promoters were "promoting something they should not have been."

Bidarian emphasised that no tickets had been sold and that all planning had been coordinated with the commission's executive director.
