When Jake Paul steps into the ring tonight to face Anthony Joshua in Miami, one very special person will be cheering him on from ringside.

His fiancée, Jutta Leerdam, is set to watch nervously as the YouTuber-turned-boxer takes on the former heavyweight champion at the Kaseya Center.

It's being billed as one of the biggest challenges of Paul's boxing career so far.

The 28-year-old American will be hoping to pull off a major upset against Joshua in this professional heavyweight clash, which runs over eight three-minute rounds.

But Leerdam is no stranger to high-pressure sporting moments herself.

The 26-year-old Dutch athlete has built an extraordinary career on the ice, specialising in long-track sprint events.

She claimed a silver medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, competing in the 1000m event for the Netherlands.

Her trophy cabinet also includes seven gold medals from European Championships in sprint and 1000-metre races, along with various World Championship titles.

Leerdam holds the Dutch record in the women's 1000m with a time of 1:11.84, which she set while winning gold at the 2020 World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships.

The speed skater first took to the ice at age 11, having previously played field hockey.

The couple's love story began in the most modern way possible – through Instagram direct messages.

They went public with their relationship in April 2023, not long after Paul suffered his first professional defeat to Tommy Fury.

Paul has credited Leerdam with helping him through a difficult period, describing her as "one of the most pure-hearted human beings" he's ever met.

"She really was there talking about her losses and was able to relate to those things and what I was going through," he said on his YouTube channel.

The pair got engaged during a romantic trip to St Lucia in March 2025, with Paul admitting he was more nervous proposing than before any fight.

Leerdam has her sights firmly set on the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, where she's chasing the one prize that's eluded her so far.

"I've already achieved so many things. Dutch titles make me incredibly happy, but there's one thing I still need: Olympic gold," she said.

Before she can compete in Milan, however, she must first secure her spot at the Dutch Olympic Trials, which begin on December 26.

The speed skater remains intensely focused on her goal, believing that when the moment arrives, everything could come together perfectly on the ice.
