The American boxer has long been a supporter of Donald Trump

American boxer Jake Paul has lavished praise on Donald Trump nine months into his second presidential term, declaring him among the finest leaders in United States history during a recent interview with Fox News Digital.

The 28-year-old influencer-turned-pugilist, who actively campaigned for Trump during last year's election and attended his January inauguration, broke his political silence to offer an enthusiastic assessment of the president's performance.

Paul stated Trump is "doing one of the best jobs in all of the presidents in the history of the United States," crediting him with implementing policies that prioritise America's long-term prosperity over immediate public approval.

The social media personality, who boasts tens of millions of followers across various platforms, believes the nation is experiencing a gradual recovery under Trump's leadership.

"America is healing slowly. And I think it's in a way that people generally don't understand or can't comprehend, because Trump is doing things that maybe don't make sense to a lot of people but in the long run will pay off and, in the long run, return amazing outcomes for the United States," Paul explained.

He maintains that Trump's approach involves making choices that may bewilder citizens initially yet will ultimately deliver exceptional results for America.

Paul commends Trump's willingness to be "ruthless and cutthroat" in his decision-making, emphasising the president prioritises national interest over popularity, even when fellow Republicans question his methods.

Paul said: "Just being ruthless and cutthroat, maybe not doing things for public favor or being liked by everybody I think there are even Republicans who are like, 'Why is this happening? Why is this happening?'

"They don't know the inner workings and how deep and intricate things are or how big these problems are and how to solve them.".

He urged Americans to maintain faith in the administration's strategy, asserting that tangible results will ultimately vindicate Trump's controversial approach.

The boxer, who championed Trump throughout last year's election campaign and attended January's inauguration alongside brother Logan, faces Gervonta Davis in Miami on 14 November, precisely one year after his victory over Mike Tyson.

Paul had remained largely silent on political matters since Trump's inauguration, despite the administration's significant policy initiatives including immigration enforcement operations, deployment of National Guard forces to combat urban crime, and diplomatic efforts to secure the release of Israeli hostages.

"You just have to have trust in the process and the administration, and I think they're doing a phenomenal job. I think results are what is going to make the most amount of people happy in the end," Paul concluded.
