The two men are set to face off on July 20

Jake Paul has blasted 'absurd' rumours that there will be special rules in place for his boxing match with Mike Tyson in July.

Paul and Tyson will lock horns at the AT&T Stadium in Texas but, since their bout was confirmed, there's been a huge backlash.

Given there's a huge 30-year age gap between the two fighters, many are unsure what to expect from the showdown in four months' time.

Some feel it's bad for the sport that a 27-year-old Paul is going up against Tyson, who established himself as one of the best heavyweights of all time during his prime years.

TikTok and other social media users have stirred speculation that Paul will be offered special protection.

One rumour has even claimed the American will wear a headguard, while Tyson will go without.

Yet Paul, speaking on the Betr podcast, has now blasted back at the rumours and insists 'none of that is true'.

"It’s so sad that millions of people believe that. It’s f***ing absurd," fumed the YouTuber, who also previously appeared on the Disney channel.

"Obviously, none of that is true.

“They’re so f***ing stupid. Anyone who believes that should not be allowed to vote.

“Actually, I thought of this - there should be these hidden tests throughout life that qualify you to be able to vote or not.

"And they don’t know whether they’re taking a test or not.

“The fact that these people are not only driving around on our streets but they’re able to vote? They’re out there driving cars! They’re dumb as f*** and it’s sad.

“We live in a f***ed up world. Humans are getting more and more stupid every day. It’s crazy."

Eddie Hearn has claimed he's 'sad' about the fight between Paul and Tyson.

And Ricky Hatton has suggested boxing icons of the past will be 'turning in their graves' over the fight.

One person who has a different perspective on things is Tyson Fury, however.

Fury, speaking earlier this week, said the fight was 'fantastic for boxing' and insists it will be a 'really good spectacle' for fans to enjoy.

"I think it's fantastic for boxing," he told The Stomping Ground.
