St Andrew's Sporting Club confirmed the tragic news on Monday.

Former boxing champion Willie Limond has died at the age of 45 after suffering a suspected seizure in his car last over a week ago.

Limond was rushed to hospital earlier this month after being found unresponsive in his car after suffering a suspected seizure.

He was taken to Monklands Hospital on April 6 and was in a critical condition after falling ill with an unknown condition.

But the legendary Glasgow fighter - who boasted an impressive record of 42 wins from 48 bouts - has tragically passed away.
