Carl Froch will be attending the clash in Miami

Carl Froch has found a way to attend the fight between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul in the early hours of Saturday morning, despite his ongoing feud with the latter.

Froch has been a big critic of Paul ever since the American went professional back in 2020 and, prior to the bout at the Kaseya Center, said that he'd been banned from attending as a result.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the British boxing icon said: "We’ve gone down the correct channels and applied for media accreditation so we can attend the press conference and the weigh-in as journalists.

“Froch on Fighting, the biggest channel in the business – the most viewed channel in the business – they should want this channel there reporting on this joke shop event. And that could be the issue.

“We’ve put in accreditation because we want to come to these events to showcase what’s going off whether it’s good or bad. It’s still boxing.

“Bottom line is, we’ve been rejected.

"We are not allowed to attend any of the media events. What is going on!?

“They want to silence us. But the rejection e-mail, it was a template e-mail just listing possible reasons.

“They’re silencing the biggest boxing YouTube channel in the business just because they don’t like my views.

"And all I do is give honest opinions and what I think.

“We’ve been banned from the event, cancelled, however you want to put it. Silenced."

However, according to The Sun, Froch will be attending the fight after all.

That's because the 48-year-old has been invited to watch in the ringside seats. Froch, undoubtedly, will be hoping Joshua gets the better of Paul - especially given his reputation as the favourite to reign supreme.

The contest ranks as one of the most-controversial in the sport's entire history. Joshua is a two-time world champion and Olympic medalist, whereas Paul is a man who previously made his name appearing on the Disney Channel and YouTube.

Fans are expecting either a mismatch or one of boxing's biggest upsets. While Joshua is widely expected to blow his rival away, there could be rustiness from a man who hasn't fought since his emphatic defeat to Daniel Dubois back in September 2024.

Joshua has insisted he won't go easy on Paul, whose sole loss came back in 2023 when he was overcome by Tommy Fury.

"It's my job, we fight. We have a licence to kill," said the 36-year-old, who continues to be linked with a seismic showdown with Tyson Fury.

"I'm sure many people don't understand it but this is what my job is. I just enjoy what I do.

"Whatever happens, happens - as long as my hand is raised, that's what's important, respectfully.

"That's just what the mentality we have to have as fighters. I don't know if other fighters think that way. Maybe they're a bit more tame.

"The way my mind works. When you're in the ring, it's a dangerous thing. Anything can happen.

"You hope your opponent leaves the ring safely, but if they don't, you still have to go to bed knowing you just did your job. It wasn't personal."
