Eddie Hearn has spoken briefly about Anthony Joshua's well-being in the aftermath of the devastating car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two of the boxer's closest friends shortly before Christmas.
The promoter said that Joshua requires space to process his grief, emphasising that any discussion of his boxing future is firmly off the table.
Hearn said: “I think to be honest at this stage, it’s definitely a no comment from us. Just because of the respect to Anthony.
“Obviously with everything he’s been through with the tragic loss of Sina and Latz."

He told talkSport: "At the moment, Anthony needs time. Time and privacy. There will be no conversations from us about a career, any moves, what’s next.
"This is a terrible tragedy and Anthony’s going to need his own time, physically and emotionally.
"And at the moment, there’s nothing to discuss or say. Let’s give him his time and pray for him and of course all the families involved in this terrible incident."

The impact tore open the passenger side of the vehicle, killing strength and conditioning coach Sina Ghami and personal trainer Kevin Latif Ayodele, known as "Latz", instantly.
Both men were 36 years old and had been long-standing members of Joshua's inner circle.
Despite the severity of the crash, Joshua and the driver, 47-year-old Adeniyi Kayode, escaped without serious injuries.
The lorry driver fled the scene following the accident and remains at large.

Anthony Joshua has since returned to Britain after escaping death in a fatal car crash in Nigeria | XKayode, a father of three, appeared before a magistrate in Sagamu facing multiple charges including dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, and operating a vehicle without a valid licence.
Additional charges relate to driving without due care and attention, causing bodily harm, and property damage.
The 47-year-old faces the possibility of life imprisonment if convicted.
His case has been adjourned until January 20, when the trial is scheduled to commence.

Prior to the services, the heavyweight broke his silence on social media, sharing poignant photographs on Instagram that appeared to show him alongside the families of the deceased.
The images carried the caption: "My brothers keeper."
The boxer had been holidaying in Nigeria, the country of his parents' birth, when the tragedy struck.
He had travelled there to celebrate his recent knockout victory over YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, a fight that had taken place just one week before the fatal accident.
