The cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry appeared at a high-powered networking event

Zara Tindall stepped out at a exclusive Mayfair event while being notably absent from major events the Royal Family’s calendar last week.

The daughter of Princess Anne, 43, missed the family’s various appearances for celebrations of VE Day.

Across the week, King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent attended various commemorations.

These included a glorious parade and fly past at Buckingham Palace, a sombre Thanksgiving Service at Westminster Abbey and a celebratory concert on Thursday night.

Instead, Zara was pictured at a chic event at the glitzy Quaglino's restaurant in St James, London.

The soiree was hosted by The Sporting Club – which organises high profile networking events at venues across the country.

Taking to Instagram with pictures of the 43-year-old royal, The Sporting Club posted about their “star guest to have to mark the occasion”.

“Zara Tindall was exceptional. Funny, revealing, honest,” they wrote.

“Whether it was about her stellar sporting career - World and European titles, Olympic silver medal and winner of Sports Personality of the Year - life married to world cup winning rugby star @mike_tindall12 or, of course, being a part of the royal family, Zara left no stone unturned.

“Throw in drinks and photos with Zara beforehand (and afterwards for well over an hour), a three course lunch, and a brilliant new venue, and it proved to be quite a day,” they added.

The event also helped raise funds for the Obex Foundation, which aims to reduce inequalities in healthcare through sport.

Zara was pictured wearing a pale pink two-piece suit from London designer Cefinn, consisting of a relaxed fir blazer and wide leg trousers.

To accessorise, the royal sported a pair of beige Valentino heels and an ivory Lottie bag.

Zara has not been seen at any of the various major royal engagements marking the end of World War Two in Europe.

Most recently, the King and Queen were Prince William and Kate and others on Thursday evening for a concert celebrating 80 years since the end of the destructive conflict on Thurday evening.

William and Kate’s children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, did not attend the event as it was a school night.

The concert, hosted by Zoe Ball, brought together music, storytelling, and tributes to remember those who served during the Second World War.

Stars taking to the stage at the concert included Freya Ridings, Fleur East and actor Brian Cox as well as Strictly Come Dancing dancers Amy Dowden, Carlos Gu and Kai Widdrington.

Completing the night was a powerful speech from King Charles at exactly 9pm, the same time his grandfather King George VI addressed the nation from Buckingham Palace on May 8, 1945.

In the speech, Charles called on the country to "rededicate ourselves" to "the cause of freedom" and "the prevention of conflict".

Quoting his grandfather's powerful words, the King said that victory "lead to a lasting peace, founded on justice and established in goodwill".

The King emphasised that the Allied victory was "a result of unity between nations, races, religions and ideologies, fighting back against an existential threat to humanity".
