Thomas Kingston was a financier who married Lady Gabriella Windsor, the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, in 2019.
Kingston was found dead on February 25 at his parent’s home in the Cotswolds at the age of 45.
Buckingham Palace announced his death on Tuesday evening with a statement.
King Charles and Camilla sent their “most heartfelt thoughts and prayers” to his family and described Mr Kingston as a “much-loved member of the family.”

Known as Tom, he began his career in diplomatic relations after graduating from Bristol University with a bachelor’s degree in economic history.
Tom joined the diplomatic missions unit at the Foreign Office and worked in Baghdad as a project officer for the Iraqi Institute of Peace for almost three years.
During his time in Baghdad, he helped negotiate the release of hostages and mediate conflict in Iraq.
Kingston then moved over to finance; his most recent position was as a director of Devonport Capital, which provides finance to companies.

Tom was also a close friend to Pippa Middleton, Princess Kate’s sister, and attended her wedding to James Matthews.
In 2018, Tom proposed to Lady Gabriella on the island of Sark after dating for several years.
Lady Gabriella is the King’s second cousin and 56th in line to the throne, although she is in the Royal Family she is not a working member.
The couple married in May 2019 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor and held their reception at Frogmore House.

The late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were among the guests at their wedding.
Kingston is survived by his parents, Mr Martin and Mrs Jill Kingston and his two sisters, Mrs Joanna Connolly and Mrs Emma Murray.
Lady Gabriella and Tom did not have any children.
On Tuesday, Prince and Princess Michael attended a memorial service for the late King Constantine of Greece.
The last King of Greece was Lady Gabriella’s godfather and attended her wedding to Kingston.
