Two founders of a charity in Scotland have revealed they felt "privileged and honoured" to be invited to Princess Kate's Together at Christmas carol service earlier this month.
Rob and Jenny Copeland, who established the North Ayrshire mental health charity Megan's Space, were among just four individuals from the region selected to attend the Princess of Wales carol service.
The couple received their invitation from Ayrshire's Lord Lieutenant to the special occasion, which was broadcast on ITV with a theme celebrating "love in all forms" and honouring volunteers who support their communities.
Speaking about the experience, the Copelands said: "It was such a privilege and honour to be able to represent Megan's Space and for Megan's Space to be recognised for its contribution to the community."

They described the evening as both enchanting and deeply moving, particularly given their proximity to members of the royal family, including the Princess of Wales who hosted the event.
The charity was founded in 2019 following the tragic loss of the couple's daughter Megan, who took her own life that year.
In the wake of this devastating event, Rob and Jenny channelled their grief into creating an organisation dedicated to ensuring other families would not endure similar heartbreak.
Megan's Space focuses on providing mental health support specifically for young people, with the Copelands determined to make a meaningful difference in their community.
Since its establishment, the charity has delivered counselling services to individuals seeking to improve their mental wellbeing, while also maintaining an active presence in local schools and organising numerous events throughout the North Ayrshire area.
A significant milestone arrived this year when Megan's Space opened its first permanent home on Ballot Road in Irvine.
The new premises represent a major step forward for the organisation, providing dedicated office facilities alongside spaces for counselling sessions.

Central to this development was the creation of 'The Haven', a crisis support facility designed to offer refuge for those experiencing acute mental health difficulties.
This sanctuary serves individuals who feel unable to keep themselves safe and have no alternative place to turn.
Staff at the facility conduct assessments of those who arrive and develop tailored plans to connect them with appropriate support services.

Young people using The Haven are kept safe until a relative or friend is able to collect them.
The Haven provides a place of sanctuary for people who feel they are in crisis or cannot keep themselves safe and have nowhere else to go.
Those who attend are triaged by Megan's Space staff, who then formulate a plan to secure the appropriate support they require.

For younger visitors to the facility, the charity ensures they remain in a safe environment until a family member or friend is able to take responsibility for their care.
The opening of these physical premises marks a transformative moment for the organisation, which has grown substantially since Rob and Jenny first launched their mission to support vulnerable young people in their community.
