Sarah Ferguson has been discovered concealing herself at an upmarket Austrian ski resort, ending more than seven months out of public view as pressure mounts for her to address her connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
The 66-year-old, who lost her Duchess of York title last year after King Charles stripped both her and her former husband of their royal designations, has remained invisible for 213 days.
American legislators are requesting she appear before Congress to explain what they describe as her "close personal and business ties" to the convicted sex offender, who died behind bars in 2019.
Ms Ferguson has consistently denied any wrongdoing. At present, she has offered no response to the congressional summons.

GB News has contacted Ms Ferguson for comment.
Photographs obtained by the Sun captured the mother-of-two looking grim-faced as she stepped out of a blacked-out Mercedes people carrier near her accommodation on Wednesday.
Ms Ferguson appeared to have taken deliberate steps to avoid recognition, concealing her signature red hair beneath a white baseball cap while dressed in a blue coat and clutching a teal raffia bag.
A source claimed: "Fergie has been keeping an incredibly low profile while high up in the Alps.

"Her choice of outfit when she popped out was obviously carefully chosen to help her avoid being recognised."
The accommodation is reportedly costing £2,000 per night, with sources indicating she seldom leaves the property.
Ms Ferguson went into hiding after being forced out of Royal Lodge in Windsor alongside Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor at the start of February.
She also wound up six companies within just three days in February.
Andrew was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office | REUTERSA source described the impact of the revelations: "The Epstein Files have hit like a sledgehammer and Sarah has not wanted to be seen by anyone. She's been effectively in hiding and can't face up to what's been happening.
"While she knows the scandal is not going away, she effectively has her head in the sand and has taken the decision to hide away for as long as possible."
It is thought that Ms Ferguson currently finds herself without a permanent home, having lived at Royal Lodge with Mr Mountbatten-Windsor since 2008.
The source continued to tell the Sun: "The calls for her to speak to the authorities are growing every single day."

The King's younger brother was staying at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate after being evicted from Royal Lodge, but has now permanently moved into Marsh Farm.
His daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, joined King Charles and the wider Royal Family at Christmas in Sandringham last year.
They did not attend the Easter Sunday church service in St George's Chapel, but GB News understands King Charles fully supported the York sisters' decision and that they will be present at future family events.
