Prince Andrew was recently named 69 times in newly released Jeffrey Epstein documents

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, has been "drafted in" to take care of Prince Andrew, following the release of new Jeffrey Epstein documents, it has been claimed.

Sarah Ferguson recently joined the royals as they attended their annual Christmas festivities in Sandringham, greeted warmly by the crowds outside the church service.

The appearance came just before Prince Andrew faced the release of new legal documents, in connection with criminally convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

This month, over 150 people were named as associates of Epstein, who died in his New York prison cell in 2019.

The documents named Prince Andrew amongst other senior figures, including former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.

The fresh blow for the Duke follows his prolific removal of royal titles and duties, after settling an out of court agreement with Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre. Prince Andrew has always denied the claims made against him.

Speaking to host Mark Dolan, Royal Editor for the Mail on Sunday, Charlotte Griffiths, revealed Prince Andrew is on a "low ebb", following the release of the documents.

Reports also suggest that the Prince has been "locked in his room" for the best part of this week.

Discussing the continued support for Prince Andrew by ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Griffiths revealed that the Duchess of York has been "drafted in on wifely duties" to double down on caring for him.

The pair, who live together at Royal Lodge in Windsor, have continued to support one another.

Griffiths stated: "Even though they're not married, she is very much on hand nonstop to just keep him going."

Mark quizzed Griffiths on what might be next for Prince Andrew, as he still faces "decades" in the public eye.

Griffiths highlighted: "There are some basic things that you can do if you're a posh royal living in the country, and actually he's been socially outcast from even some of those.

"So he certainly can't do any charity work or any royal work of any kind. Especially now in the light of this second batch of documents."

She continued: "All of his friends have been asking and they are big worriers that he can't even really go shooting or anything like that."
