Princess Kate wore £3,200 earrings with a poignant hidden meaning for today's hospital visit.

The 43-year-old accessorised with £3,200 Cartier Trinity earrings, which she first wore to announce she was in remission back in January 2025.

The imagery provided a full-circle fashion moment for the Princess of Wales, who opened up about her "daunting" experience of undergoing chemotherapy today.

In addition, Princess Kate chose to rewear a £1,200 burgundy suit by Roland Mouret, which she paired with a £195 ruby red Me + Em top.

The Princess of Wales carried a £415 chocolate suede handbag from DeMellier London, the brand's Small Hudson design, which royal watchers will recognise from her Christmas Day appearance at church on the Sandringham Estate.

DeMellier has become a favoured label among members of the Royal Family.

Finally, the mother-of-three donned Russell and Bromley suede heels, which she has owned since 2016.

The Prince and Princess of Wales marked their first official engagement of 2026 this afternoon with a visit to Charing Cross Hospital in west London.

The royal couple's appearance was designed to shine a spotlight on NHS staff and volunteers working through heightened demand during the winter period, according to Kensington Palace.

Prince William and Kate toured the hospital's facilities, meeting with healthcare workers and volunteers who support patients during one of the busiest times of year for the health service.

The engagement comes almost a year after the Princess announced she had entered remission following her cancer diagnosis.

During the visit, Kate shared a rare and touching moment that acknowledged her own experience with cancer treatment.

A hospital volunteer was explaining to the Princess how chemotherapy patients often spend lengthy periods at the facility during their sessions.

Kate's response was quietly powerful: "I know," she said, before reaching out to place her hand on William's arm and adding: "We know."

The understated exchange offered a glimpse into the couple's personal connection to the realities of cancer care, following Kate's own treatment journey throughout 2024.

The Prince of Wales addressed the visit in a brief speech towards the conclusion of the engagement.

William spoke of how both he and Kate had drawn on their respective experiences with the healthcare system.

"Both of us had different experiences with hospitals, me working with the air ambulance and Catherine with her recent health journey, and coming here today reminds ourselves just how important all the teams are, all the staff, the patient sort of interactions," he said.

He noted the couple had enjoyed touring the rehabilitation unit and observing the support structures established through NHS charities.

The engagement marks a significant milestone for Kate, who announced last January that she was in remission from cancer following her treatment throughout 2024.
