Endgame was released worldwide on Tuesday

Two members of the Royal Family have been named as the 'royal racists' in a Dutch translation of Omid Scobie's book as copies have been urgently pulled across the Netherlands.

GB News has seen a passage of the Dutch translation of Endgame that appears to name two members of the monarchy who allegedly made comments about the colour of Prince Archie's skin.

Despite the translation error and Dutch publishers saying they are "temporarily withdrawing" copies of the book for sale, GB News has learned they are still being sold in at least one bookshop in the Netherlands this morning.

Dutch royal journalist Rick Evers said today: "Names of two senior royals are mentioned during the book.

He told ITV: "The first one is very specific. The second one is a little bit vague, if this person is really involved in the story.

"But the first one is very clear and the official way was that it was a translation issue.

"There are some debates about how these passages were stated in the book. I would say how could you translate a name wrong?"

Scobie, the author of Endgame, issued a statement saying he has never produced a version of the book naming the members of the Royal Family who allegedly made the comments.

Scobie told RTL Boulevard: "The book is available in a number of languages and unfortunately I can't speak Dutch so I haven't seen the copy for myself.

"But if there have been any translation errors, I'm sure the publishers have got it under control.

Scobie, the author of Endgame, issued a statement saying he has never produced a version of the book naming the members of the Royal Family who allegedly made the comments.

"For me, I edited and wrote the English version.

"There's never been a version that I've produced that has names in it."

It remains unclear why the Dutch translation of Endgame would name specific individuals when no other foreign translations appear to do so.
