King Charles will mark the first anniversary of his mother’s death ‘quietly and privately’

The Royal Family will not hold an official public event to mark the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, a spokesman has revealed.

There are also no plans for a private gathering of the Firm.

However, senior members of the Royal Family will convene at Balmoral in Aberdeenshire over the summer.

Britain’s longest-reigning monarch died at the age of 96 at the Firm’s Scottish residence on September 8 last year.
