King Charles’s Norfolk residence, Sandringham Estate, will temporarily close to the public this August during the busy summer holiday season, just as two of Meghan Markle’s friends are set to perform there.
A statement shared on Sandringham’s official Instagram account confirmed that the estate will be off-limits from August 14 to 17 due to the upcoming Heritage Live concert series.
Artists including Mariah Carey, Stereophonics and Michael Bublé are all scheduled to perform at the event, which takes place across the 25,000-acre royal property.

Carey, 56, once recorded an episode with the Duchess of Sussex for her Archetypes podcast in 2022, where the 'Hero' singer famously called Meghan a "diva".
Meanwhile, Bublé, 49, has met Meghan several times over the years, and even performed at Prince Harry's Invictus Games in Canada earlier this year.
In the Sandringham estate message, organisers wrote: "The Sandringham Estate will be closed to general visitors from 14th-17th August for Heritage Live's concert series. This includes our Visitor Centre car parks, and Courtyard facilities (including our cafe and restaurant).
"We look forward to welcoming visitors back from the 18th August onwards. Thank you in advance for your understanding."

While the concerts will give ticketholders a rare opportunity to enjoy the estate’s grounds, the King will not be in residence during the event.
King Charles is widely expected to spend the summer months in Scotland, following royal tradition.
The late Queen Elizabeth II consistently spent the warmer months at Balmoral Castle, while her son is believed to favour Birkhall, a neighbouring property on the Balmoral estate that once belonged to the Queen Mother.
Earlier this month, the King is understood to have visited Sandringham briefly, though the Royal Family typically reserves the Norfolk residence for winter visits and their traditional Christmas celebrations.

As Sandringham prepares to close for the concerts, Balmoral Castle is also preparing to shut its gates to the public.
Since April 1, visitors have been able to explore the castle’s grounds and historic ballroom as part of a special exhibition.
However, public access will end on August 10, just days before Sandringham's own temporary closure.
