The Princess of Wales was criticised many times in Omid Scobie's new book

The Royal Family will show Princess Kate "gestures of solidarity" at the Christmas carol concert tonight, a royal commentator has claimed.

A royal commentator spoke exclusively to GB News about whether or not the Royal Family will send any collective messages to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tonight, especially after the release of Endgame by Omid Scobie.

Gareth Russell, a royal author, said: "At the carol service, we will see most of the immediate and extended Royal Families showing up to support the Princess of Wales. Absolutely.

"I would be very surprised if we don't see similar gestures of solidarity, as we saw in 2022."

The Together at Christmas carol concert has become a yearly event hosted by the Princess of Wales.

The 2022 service coincided with the release of the Netflix docu-series, Harry & Meghan, where Zara Tindall, Pippa Middleton, and Princess Kate are believed to have sent a strong message of unity with their style.

During one episode of the Netflix series, the Duchess of Sussex claimed she could not wear the same colour as another senior royal during a joint appearance.

She said: "Most of the time that I was in the UK, I rarely wore colour. There was thought in that.

"To my understanding, you can't ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there's a group event, but then you also shouldn't be wearing the same colour as one of the other, more senior members of the family.

"So I was like, well what's a colour that they'll probably never wear? Camel? Beige? White?

"So, I wore a lot of muted tones, but it also was so I could just blend in. Like, I'm not trying to stand out here.

"So there's no version of me joining this family and trying to not do everything I could to fit in. I don't want to embarrass the family."

Despite what Meghan said in her Netflix series, Zara, Pippa and Kate all showed up at the Together at Christmas carol concert in 2022 wearing the same shade of burgundy.

Royal commentator Gareth Russell therefore believes that the royals could send similar messages of unity at tonight's concert.

When Scobie released his book Endgame last week, the Dutch version named Princess Kate and King Charles as the royals who allegedly raised "concern" over Prince Archie's skin colour.

The author has denied ever including the names in his book, and the Sussexes have not yet released a statement regarding Endgame.
