Queen Letizia has made a drastic change after her brother-in-law made bombshell "affair" claims.
The last time the Queen of Spain wore a colourful outfit with a bold colour was on December 19, when she wore a red dress at the Niemeyer Cultural Centre. However, she did cover the dress up with a black coat when she stepped outside.
Royal fans began to notice the Queen was dressing in darker colours, namely black, grey and blue in recent outings.
One fan wrote on Instagram: "Not a good look on her," referring to the more simple outfits that lack bold colours.

Another royal watcher commented: "I don’t love the colour of the blouse on her," about a plain-coloured top she wore at the Pascua Militar ceremony.
However, that same social media user noted that Queen Letizia could be wearing plainer outfits to let her daughter Princess Leonor, the heir to the throne, take the spotlight.
They added: "I do think on these first official events with Leonor she does appear to wear more muted colours. So I can get behind a mother letting their children shine."
In addition, a social media user noticed that Queen Letizia was wearing less exciting stiletto heels at recent events.

One posted: "Does it seem that she has been wearing lower heels lately?" Another added: "I noticed that Queen Letizia now only wears low heel shoes, she hardly wears high heels now."
At Infanta Elena's 60th birthday, Letizia wore chunky-sole leather shoes from Boss.
One fan commented: "This is a miss for me just for the shoes... the shoes are hideous!" Similarly, one said: "The shoes seem a tad chunky."
Queen Letizia's departure from brightly-coloured clothes and high heels comes as her sister's ex-husband, Jaime del Burgo, claimed he had an affair with the Spanish Queen.

Del Burgo alleged he was in a romantic relationship with Letizia before she married King Felipe in 2004 and at another point after the wedding.
The Spanish Royal Family has declined to comment on Del Burgo’s claims.
Del Burgo married Queen Letizia's sister, Telma Ortiz, in 2012, but divorced two years after their wedding.
Queen Letizia, 51, tied the knot with King Felipe VI in 2004 and the couple has two children.
