King Charles and the Queen attended the Sandringham Flower Show today

Queen Camilla has admitted to having the "best therapy in the world" at her private home in a candid confession.

King Charles and Queen Camilla attended the Sandringham Flower Show on Wednesday, an event the couple typically attends every year.

As they made their way around the event, conversations quickly turned to the weather amid the recent British heatwave.

Camilla, a keen gardener, reflected on the impact of the heat, telling a royal fan: “Oh, the weather, everything is wilting!”

However, the Queen acknowledged there is a silver lining, explaining: “At least it [the rain] has come at the right time,” referring to recent scattered showers across the UK.

When asked about her gardening habits at Ray Mill House in Wiltshire, the Queen's private home away from King Charles, Camilla shared: “Yes, I do enjoy it. I’m very proud of my veg."

Referring to gardening, Camilla clarified: "It’s the best therapy in the world.

"We haven’t had any rain, though, [even though] it’s been raining here. I’ve never done so much watering in my life.”

Her experience will resonate with many gardeners battling dry, scorched lawns and parched flowerbeds during this extended heatwave.

Ray Mill House, built in 1860, was designated a Grade II listed building by English Heritage in 1987.

In 1996, following her divorce from Andrew Parker Bowles, Camilla purchased the property for £850,000.

The Queen, 78, is known to spend time at the Wiltshire property with her two children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes.

When Her Majesty turned 75 in 2022, Princess Kate visited Ray Mill House to photograph King Charles's wife for the milestone celebrations.

A royal insider previously claimed that King Charles and Queen Camilla agreed to keep her Wiltshire home as an “escape from royal life” when they tied the knot in 2005.

She lived there permanently between 1996 and 2003, and has kept it as a country base ever since.
