Queen Camilla has started wearing a bold choice of accessory this year - a pinky ring, just like Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex is often snapped wearing her signature pinky ring - a three-carat emerald-cut diamond from Lorraine Schwartz, set in 18k yellow gold.

Meghan, 43, famously wore the jewel at the 2023 Invictus Games, and it also featured in a birthday post for Princess Lilibet earlier this week.

The mother of two could be seen holding her daughter on a boat, with her pinky ring glimmering on the opposite hand to her engagement ring.

Now, another member of the Royal Family has followed suit with the popular style trend.

Queen Camilla, 77, has begun wearing a gold pinky ring this year, and, as reported by Royal Fashion Blog, it hails from the Royal Collection.

The Royal Collection Trust has the following description: "A gold ring composed of seven circular plaques, each engraved with ancient symbols, plain gold shield in front."

Unlike Meghan, who often wears her pinky ring on her right hand to allow her engagement ring to take centre stage, Queen Camilla wears her pinky ring on her left hand.

The sparkler has been photographed on Camilla's little finger beside her engagement ring, which previously belonged to the Queen Mother.

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother left the jewel to King Charles after she died in 2002.

In February 2005, the then-Prince of Wales proposed to his longtime lover with the Art Deco ring.

It is understood that Camilla's engagement ring was gifted to the Queen Mother after the birth of Queen Elizabeth II in 1926, effectively making it a royal push present.

Queen Camilla's pinky ring stems from the Royal Collection.

King Charles’s relationship with his grandmother was a very close one, with their bond having been discussed at great length by royal commentators.

The fact that the King selected this jewel for his future bride made it all the more significant.

Estimated to be worth £210,000, the platinum ring was prominently worn and photographed in the 1980s by the Queen Mother.

Instead of a marital wedding ring, King Charles wears “The Wedding Ring of England”, which every sovereign has worn since King William IV’s Coronation in 1831.
