James Middleton has shared a glimpse into family life with his wife, Alizée Thevenet, during a scenic Alpine running trip.
The Princess of Wales’s younger brother posted on Instagram about the role running plays in his relationship with Ms Thevenet, whom he married in 2021.
He wrote: “Ever since we met, Alizée and I have been running side by side.
"In fact, if we ever argue, running is our way of clearing the air (partly because neither of us can talk while we do it).

"More recently, it’s been about running after Inigo but recently I planned this Alpine run and it might just be the most beautiful yet.”
The post was accompanied by a video of Ms Thevenet, filmed by Mr Middleton, running alongside the mountainous landscape. Ms Thevenet was wearing running gear for the exercise.
The pair welcomed their first child, a son named Inigo, in October 2023.
Mr Middleton has previously spoken about the joy of becoming a father, describing the experience as “life-changing” and often sharing updates about family moments outdoors.
Running and fitness have long been part of James and Alizée’s life. The couple have taken part in marathons and other endurance events, with Mr Middleton often documenting their training on social media.
His latest post reflects how the pastime has become part of their family routine as parents.
Mr Middleton has also been open about how exercise and the outdoors support his mental health.
He has spoken publicly about his experience with depression, telling how time in nature with his dogs and activities such as running helped him cope.

Alongside his love of fitness, Mr Middleton runs his dog food company Ella & Co., named after his late cocker spaniel.
His animals often feature in his posts, though on this occasion it was his wife and son who were centre stage.
Ms Thevenet, a French financial analyst, met Mr Middleton in 2018, and the couple married in a ceremony in the South of France in 2021.
They live in Berkshire with their son and dogs, close to the Middleton family home.

Mr Middleton's Instagram update comes as Princess Kate continues her summer holiday with Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The siblings are known to be close, with Mr Middleton speaking in the past about the support he has received from his sisters, Kate and Pippa.
His Alpine post quickly attracted warm messages from followers praising the couple’s family life and their love of the outdoors.
