Sarah Ferguson and her daughter Princess Eugenie attended the Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday

Sarah Ferguson comforted Christian Horner alongside her daughter, Princess Eugenie on Saturday as the Red Bull chief has recently been engulfed in a scandal.

The Duchess of York was pictured placing a hand on Horner’s torso as they talked at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The royal’s conversation with the F1 boss comes as Horner's conduct had been investigated by Red Bull.

Horner was cleared of inappropriate behaviour by the formula one team.

Following Red Bull’s win, Fergie, Princess Eugenie and her husband headed down to the track to congratulate the team and speak with the chief.

Princess Eugenie was also pictured leaning in to hug Horner as he held onto one of her arms and kissed the princess on the cheek.

Later in the day, Mike and Zara Tindall stood with her brother Peter Phillips next to winner Max Verstappen’s car.

It comes as Princess Eugenie missed a royal memorial service for the late King of Greece last week.

The princess looked in good spirits as she laughed with her mother and her husband at the first F1 race of 2024.

Sarah Ferguson attended the service for King Constantine alongside her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice.

The Duchess of York was recently diagnosed with skin cancer just six months after she was treated for breast cancer.

Doctors have now told the duchess that the cancer has not spread following more surgery examining the area around the mole that was malignant.

A friend of Ferguson said that the area and her lymph nodes were “free of cancer” but she must remain vigilant and have regular check-ups.

The friend told The Daily Mail: “It is a huge relief for Sarah and the entire family after the most stressful time.”
