The outing came days before the Duchess of York’s emails to Jeffrey Epstein emerged

Princess Eugenie and Madonna were among the guests at the Chiltern Firehouse on Thursday night as the Marylebone hotel reopened “for friends and family” following a February fire caused by a pizza oven.

The blaze ripped through the first floor of the Grade II-listed building, which is still under construction in some areas.

Eugenie, daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, joined fellow guests including Kate Moss, Iris Law and Lila Moss. She wore a Reiss black blazer over a £235 ivory cashmere T-shirt from Theory.

Later the same evening, Eugenie joined her mother at another London celebration. The Duchess of York attended the 20th anniversary of China Tang at the Dorchester, where she posed for a photograph with Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles.

Sarah wore a letterbox red military jacket with a black mini-skirt and black heels, while Mr Parker Bowles opted for a blue suit and white shirt. The event also drew Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Edward Enninful.

The double outing came days after the funeral of the Duchess of Kent, which Princess Eugenie missed.

Eugenie shared a tribute on Instagram, reposting an image from the Royal Family account and writing: “Remembering the Duchess of Kent.”

Princess Beatrice, her elder sister, did not attend either. Their father, Prince Andrew, appeared at the funeral alongside Fergie.

Just days after Eugenie’s Thursday appearances, damaging revelations about the Duchess of York’s past emails to Jeffrey Epstein emerged.

In correspondence from 2011, Fergie wrote to Epstein: “Sometimes the heart speaks better than the words. You have my heart. With lots of love, dear Jeffrey.”

She added: “I know you feel hellaciously let down by me from what you were either told or read and I must humbly apologise to you and your heart for that.”

Sarah assured him: “As you know, I did not, absolutely not, say the ‘P word’ [paedophile] about you but understand it was reported that I did,” while explaining she had been “instructed to act with the utmost speed if I would have any chance of holding on to my career as a children’s book author and a children’s philanthropist.”

A spokesman for the duchess told GB News: “The Duchess spoke of her regret about her association with Epstein many years ago, and as they have always been her first thoughts are with his victims.

"Like many people, she was taken in by his lies. As soon as she was aware of the extent of the allegations against him, she not only cut off contact but condemned him publicly, to the extent that he then threatened to sue her for defamation for associating him with paedophilia.

"She does not resile from anything she said then. This email was sent in the context of advice the Duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats.”

The disclosures have renewed scrutiny of the Yorks and raised questions about whether King Charles will continue to allow Andrew and Sarah to attend private family events.
